Adobe unveils a content creation center within Premiere mobile designed for YouTube Shorts creators
Adobe and YouTube Introduce New Mobile Creation Hub for Shorts
Adobe has teamed up with YouTube to unveil a specialized content creation hub within Premiere for iOS, tailored specifically for YouTube Shorts creators. This new feature offers users a selection of exclusive templates, transitions, and effects, and enables them to publish Shorts directly to their YouTube channels from their mobile devices.
This dedicated space is crafted to equip creators with all the tools necessary to produce engaging, trend-driven videos—whether they're sharing daily routines, travel adventures, or behind-the-scenes moments. The goal is to help users expand their reach and stay on top of the latest trends.
Through this collaboration, YouTube is providing its creators with a unique environment for content production, encouraging them to utilize Adobe’s platform rather than alternative editing tools like Meta’s Edits or CapCut, which is owned by ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok.
Meagan Keane, Adobe’s Director of Product Marketing for Digital Video and Audio, explained in a statement to TechCrunch: “While videos edited in Premiere mobile can be shared across various social platforms, what sets this partnership apart is the seamless integration with YouTube Shorts. Creators can instantly launch templates they discover in their Shorts feed directly into Premiere mobile and personalize them for their own channels. This creation hub within Premiere mobile is purpose-built for YouTube Shorts.”

The new “Create for YouTube Shorts” section in Premiere mobile showcases templates from leading creators, complete with pre-set text, effects, and transitions. Users can import their own media and adapt these templates to fit their personal style, or even design and submit original templates for others to use.
How to Get Started
- Sign in to Premiere mobile with a free account to access the Shorts creation hub.
- Connect your YouTube profile to publish Shorts directly to your feed.
- Download Adobe Premiere from the App Store and select the “Create for YouTube” option.
Once inside, creators can import footage from their iPhone’s camera roll, cloud services, or Adobe Creative Cloud. The app allows users to trim and edit clips, layer video and audio tracks, tweak color and brightness, and add text or captions as needed.
After editing, simply follow the export steps to upload the finished Short directly to YouTube.
“The addition of templates, effects, transitions, and this new Shorts-focused creation space in the app will benefit all creators, whether they’re seasoned professionals or just starting out,” Keane added. “It delivers advanced video editing, studio-level audio, AI-powered sound effects, multi-track precision editing, Firefly AI content generation, and more—making it easier and faster to produce and share content. Our mission is to empower creativity for everyone, and we’re committed to making this an incredible era for creators.”
