Base Outage Report: Sequencer Misconfiguration Led to Inability to Process Transactions, Total Downtime 33 Minutes
BlockBeats News, August 6 — Base has released an outage incident report, stating that on August 5, there was a 33-minute interruption in block production. The cause was a switch to a backup sequencer, which was not properly configured to process transactions.
The active sequencer at the time began to lag in block production, prompting Base’s Conductor system—which manages sequencer availability and reliability—to initiate a sequencer switch. The network has now fully recovered, with a total downtime of 33 minutes.
