Square launches Bitcoin payment feature, allowing merchants to freely choose BTC or fiat currency settlement
According to ChainCatcher, Square has officially announced that its bitcoin payment feature is now live. Merchants can now choose from four payment options: BTC → BTC, BTC → fiat, fiat → BTC, or fiat → fiat.
Square founder Jack Dorsey stated on the X platform that this feature allows sellers to receive bitcoin directly into their Square wallet or opt for automatic conversion to USD for settlement, marking the official integration of bitcoin payments into mainstream merchant systems.
