TRON mainnet will soon upgrade to GreatVoyage-v4.8.1: comprehensive enhancement of system compatibility and network performance
ChainCatcher news, according to official TRON news, its mainnet is expected to release the GreatVoyage-v4.8.1 (Democritus) version in November 2025. This upgrade will bring several key improvements aimed at further strengthening system compatibility, network performance, and overall stability, laying a solid foundation for the long-term evolution of the TRON mainnet.
According to the official technical documentation, the GreatVoyage-v4.8.1 version includes support for ARM architecture and JDK 17, further expanding the system's operating environment. It also completes compatibility with changes to the SELFDESTRUCT instruction in the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), continuously enhancing EVM consistency. In addition, this upgrade covers node network optimization, API performance improvements, security updates, and database performance adjustments, which will significantly improve mainnet operational efficiency and node synchronization stability.
This upgrade is an important milestone in the performance evolution of the TRON mainnet, reflecting the community's ongoing commitment to optimizing multi-architecture compatibility, security, and decentralized governance.
