The competition among web browsers is intensifying once more, this time with artificial intelligence taking the lead.

OpenAI has unveiled Atlas, a browser powered by ChatGPT that enables users to navigate the internet through conversational language, and features an “agent mode” capable of handling tasks on its own. This marks one of the most significant browser releases in recent years, but it arrives with a lingering security vulnerability that may put emails, passwords, and private information at risk.

Join Max Zeff, Anthony Ha, and Sean O’Kane as they discuss the launch of Atlas, the surge of new browser alternatives, the AWS outage that disrupted much of the web, and other notable startup and technology stories this week on TechCrunch’s Equity podcast.
