Bitcoin Liquid Staking with uniBTC Goes Live on Solana with Saros
Bedrock is bringing Bitcoin Liquid Staking to one of the fastest-growing ecosystems in crypto. uniBTC is now live on Solana, in partnership with Saros, giving users the ability to bridge Bitcoin from Ethereum ↔ Solana and put it to work directly in Solana DeFi.
This expansion follows Bedrock’s earlier move in late August to enable BR, our native governance token, on Solana. Now, with uniBTC joining the mix, you can access more Bitcoin-powered yield opportunities and into one of DeFi’s most active ecosystems.
Why Solana?
Solana has become a hub for traders and builders alike. Its high-speed, low-cost infrastructure makes it the ideal environment for DeFi users looking to maximize liquidity and efficiency.
Bitcoin activity on Solana is already gaining momentum. According to Flipside data , the supply of Bitcoin bridged into Solana DeFi reached 6,586 BTC as of July 2025. This number is a ~299% increase YoY compared to July 2024’s 1,650 BTC.
By bringing uniBTC into this fast-growing environment, Bedrock makes it easier for Bitcoin holders to access yield, composability, and liquidity across Solana’s expanding DeFi ecosystem.
BTCFi with uniBTC & BR on Saros
Saros is a Solana-native DEX incubated by Ninety Eight. Saros unifies swapping, liquidity, staking, and token launches into a single, high-throughput interface. Positioned as a “liquidity hub” on Solana, Saros utilizes its DLMM (Dynamic Liquidity Market Maker), a programmable liquidity engine that allocates capital in dynamic price bins to preserve depth, tighten spreads, and stay resilient during volatility.
Saros’ swap is powered by the native OKX aggregator, ensuring best-route execution across Solana DEXs. Alongside a perpetual DEX built with Orderly (offering up to 50× leverage), Saros gives both users and builders a one-stop venue for efficient spot trading, capital-efficient LP-ing, and advanced derivatives, all on Solana. For Bedrock, this means uniBTC and BR launch where discovery and depth already converge: multiple aggregators match traders from across Solana with Saros liquidity, while the Saros DLMM concentrates liquidity where BTC-paired markets need it most, reducing slippage and improving UX from day one.
What Can Your uniBTC Do on Solana Now
1. Bridge uniBTC to Solana
Follow these steps to bring your BTC-backed assets to Solana and start earning:
- Select Ethereum as your origin network and set Solana as the destination. You can also bridge in the opposite direction from Solana back to Ethereum.
- Enter the amount of uniBTC you want to bridge, and paste your Solana wallet address in the Recipient field.
- Click “Bridge” and sign the transaction. Make sure you have enough ETH, WETH, SOL, LINK, or GHO (depending on the network) to pay the bridge fee.
- Once confirmed, the bridged tokens will arrive in your recipient wallet.
2. Earn Bitcoin Yield from uniBTC Pools on Saros
Once bridged, uniBTC can be deployed into Saros pools to start earning yield.
