Circle did not freeze the funds involved in the exchange hack, and the hacker has now bridged the funds to another chain.
On October 2, on-chain detective ZachXBT revealed that the attacker in a certain exchange hack incident swapped approximately 5 million DAI for about 5 million USDC, and kept these funds in USDC for 35 minutes. Since Circle did not conduct a compliance freeze, the funds were subsequently bridged to another chain. The hacker stole over 300 million US dollars from an exchange user by bribing customer service.
