New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who supports cryptocurrencies, suspends re-election campaign
Foresight News reported that New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who supports cryptocurrency, has suspended his mayoral re-election campaign. Media speculation and campaign finance issues are believed to be the main reasons for the suspension. "Ongoing media speculation about my future, coupled with the campaign finance committee's decision to withhold millions of dollars, has severely undermined my ability to raise campaign funds. Whether inside or outside City Hall, I will continue to fight for this city, because I am a New Yorker." Previously, Eric Adams received his first three paychecks in bitcoin and led the organization of New York's first cryptocurrency summit. He has also called for the abolition of New York State's bitcoin license regulatory system to allow for the free flow of bitcoin.
