Polygon, Cypher Capital Expand POL Access Across the Middle East

- Polygon and Cypher Capital target Middle East institutions with POL yield strategies.
- Partnership boosts POL liquidity, access, and adoption among professional investors.
- Technical upgrades like GigaGas and Agglayer enhance Polygon’s institutional use case.
Polygon Labs announced its partnership with Dubai-based Cypher Capital to expand institutional access to POL, Polygon’s native token, across the Middle East. The collaboration aims to provide asset managers and financial institutions with yield-generating strategies, enhanced liquidity, and simpler token exposure. The initiative follows Cypher Capital’s recent acquisition of a notable allocation of POL.
Institutional Strategy and Capital Flow
According to Polygon Labs, the partnership is designed to channel long-term capital into the ecosystem while offering institutions structured opportunities tied to POL. The firms plan to host roundtables and exclusive sessions to raise awareness among financial institutions and offices in the region.
These discussions will note POL’s role as the backbone of Polygon’s infrastructure, powering payments, real-world asset transactions, and decentralized applications. According to Sandeep Nailwal, Polygon co-founder, institutional demand for real yield on crypto is growing.
He explained that the program will translate POL’s value into institutional grade opportunities, enabling investors to earn returns directly from the network’s economic engine. The collaboration also intends to position POL as a portfolio asset for professional investors seeking exposure to blockchain infrastructure.
Liquidity, Yield, and Network Security
In its X post, Cypher Capital stated that the collaboration with Polygon Labs will expand access by enabling yield generation strategies and improving liquidity across trading venues. Harsh Agarwal, Investment Director at Cypher Capital, pointed out that the initiative indicates assets like POL being relevant to institutional portfolios.
He noted that the firm’s allocation of POL shows its commitment to supporting network growth. Aishwary Gupta, Global Head of Payments, Exchanges and RWA at Polygon Labs, added that there is sustained demand from institutional investors for yield-generating digital assets backed by genuine network activity.
Gupta stated that Cypher Capital’s experience in both traditional and decentralized finance will help expand institutional participation in POL. The initiative aims to strengthen capital efficiency and simplify operations for professional allocators.

Technology Upgrades and Roadmap
The partnership aligns with Polygon’s technical roadmap, which focuses on scaling performance and supporting broader institutional use cases. Nailwal discussed recent advancements, including sub-five-second transaction finality and throughput of up to 1,000 transactions per second, delivered under Polygon’s GigaGas program.
Future upgrades, such as Agglayer, are expected to enhance cross-chain execution and further increase efficiency. These infrastructure improvements aim to strengthen Polygon as a settlement layer for high-performance applications, including stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets.
By linking institutional capital with POL strategies, the network seeks to expand liquidity, improve security, and enhance adoption across key financial markets. Cypher Capital’s involvement will also support structured frameworks to make institutional engagement with POL more accessible.
Moreover, the collaboration is the first step in expanding institutional access to POL. With liquidity improvements, yield strategies, and educational roundtables, the program introduces POL as an institutional-grade asset. Further with technical upgrades and capital alignments, POL is positioned at the center of Polygon’s infrastructure-focused growth strategy.
