Bubblemaps: The MYX team may be directly linked to the $170 million Sybil attack, suspected of insider manipulation
On September 11, according to blockchain data analytics firm Bubblemaps, the MYX team is directly linked to wallets that previously received a $170 million airdrop, suggesting possible insider activity. Bubblemaps previously discovered that a single entity claimed $170 million from the MYX airdrop using 100 new wallets. Tracing from the MYX creator wallet 0x8eEB, cross-chain fund transfers led back to one of the airdrop recipient wallets, 0x4a31. Bubblemaps stated that wallet 0x4a31 not only matches the funding patterns of 95 other sybil wallets, but also sent $2.8 million worth of MYX tokens to a deposit address, which had only ever been used by another wallet associated with the MYX creator, 0xeb5A. Bubblemaps noted that in response to suspicions, the MYX team previously claimed that some users requested address changes, but Bubblemaps believes new evidence suggests the situation may be more serious.
