Zelensky holds phone call with Guterres, announces major event to be organized during the UN General Assembly
Jinse Finance reported that Ukrainian President Zelensky stated on August 28 local time that he had a phone conversation with United Nations Secretary-General Guterres. Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Guterres for his condolences and support to Ukrainian families who lost loved ones in the Russian attack on Ukraine on the 28th. During the call, both sides discussed measures that need to be taken to stop the killings. In addition, they also talked about the preparations for the 80th United Nations General Assembly. Zelensky said that Ukraine will organize important events during the assembly and looks forward to Guterres' participation.
