Justin Sun Accuses Bloomberg of Publishing False and Private Financial Information in Its Billionaires List
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Tron blockchain founder Justin Sun has filed a lawsuit against Bloomberg and is seeking a temporary restraining order, accusing the media outlet of publishing false and private financial information in its billionaire rankings. Sun’s representatives stated in a Tron blog post on Tuesday that the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, released on Monday, “published inaccurate data that severely and dangerously misrepresented Justin Sun’s assets.” Sun claims that he sent a cease and desist letter to Bloomberg on August 2, aiming to prevent the public disclosure of his cryptocurrency holdings, but Bloomberg confirmed it would still publish the article. In Tuesday’s blog post, Sun said the report attributed cryptocurrency holdings to him “which he has never owned, controlled, or had any beneficial interest in, and did not report the actual amount of cryptocurrency he holds.” In his complaint, he claims that disclosing his cryptocurrency holdings “would cause significant harm” and expose him to “substantial risks of theft, hacking, kidnapping, and personal harm to himself and his family.”
