Strategist: Bank of England May Cut Rates Again Before Year-End After Thursday’s Expected Rate Cut
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Jeremy Batstone-Carr, a strategist at Raymond James Investment Services, stated that after making its interest rate decision on Thursday, the Bank of England may cut rates again before the end of the year. LSEG data shows that the market sees a 96% probability of a rate cut this week. The UK is expected to raise taxes in the autumn budget, which could limit the spending power of households and businesses. The Bank of England may wish to adopt a monetary policy that eases the pressure on households and businesses, although this may not happen until later this year.
