Grok AI integrated into Tesla’s in-car system, standard on all new U.S. models delivered from July 12
According to ChainCatcher, Tesla’s official website shows that Grok has been integrated into Tesla’s in-car system. Starting from July 12, all new U.S. models delivered will come standard with this feature. Users can activate Grok through the in-car app or by long-pressing the voice button on the steering wheel, enabling natural language conversations and offering a variety of personalized styles.
Currently, Grok is only supported on Model S/3/X/Y and Cybertruck vehicles equipped with AMD infotainment processors and running software version 2025.26 or above. The feature is being released as a Beta version and does not yet support direct control of vehicle functions such as navigation and air conditioning. All user conversations will be anonymized by xAI to protect privacy. At present, owners do not need a Grok account or subscription to enable Grok in their vehicles.
In the future, Grok may become available on more Tesla models through over-the-air software updates. The availability of Grok may change or be discontinued at any time.
