Cardano recently introduced the Plinth tool, designed to strengthen the security of smart contracts written in Plutus, the network’s native language. The new feature aims to automate rigorous testing and detect flaws that could compromise the integrity of decentralized applications (dApps), especially those in more demanding environments.
Plinth’s main innovation lies in its application of property-based testing. This method automatically generates a wide variety of inputs, allowing the observation of the behavior of contracts in different situations, including the most extreme ones. This type of verification is difficult to achieve with traditional testing, making the solution even more relevant for the Cardano ecosystem.
Code should be precise, and so should its name.
