Tornado Cash Co-Founder Roman Storm: Will Not Accept Hacker Donations, 10 ETH to Be Returned to Cork
According to Jinse Finance, the hacker who attacked the Cork Protocol has transferred stolen ETH worth $11 million (4,520 ETH) into the crypto mixer Tornado Cash, and subsequently donated 10 ETH, valued at approximately $24,000, to the legal fund of Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm. In response, Roman Storm stated on the X platform that he would never accept donations from hackers and would therefore return the 10 ETH to Cork Protocol. Reportedly, Cork Protocol co-founder Phil Fogel has expressed his gratitude and donated 1 ETH to Roman Storm’s legal fund.
