Binance has confirmed that Sophon (SOPH) is the latest project included in its ongoing HODLer Airdrops initiative. SOPH becomes the 20th project distributed through this mechanism.
On May 28, Binance users who met the eligibility criteria received free SOPH tokens in advance of the token’s first listing. Trading begins today at 13:00 UTC with support for pairs including USDT, BNB, USDC, FDUSD, and TRY.
This move continues Binance’s strategy of introducing new tokens to its users through passive holding-based rewards. Sophon will no longer be showcased on Binance Alpha after its spot market debut.
What Is Binance HODLer Airdrops
The Binance HODLer Airdrops program is designed to reward users who hold BNB in selected earning products. By participating in Simple Earn (Flexible or Locked) or On-Chain Yields, users are automatically included in airdrop events when new projects are introduced.
The key feature of this program is that it uses past snapshots of user balances to determine eligibility. Unlike other earning methods, users do not need to take additional actions after subscribing. Airdrop distributions are made directly to users’ Spot Accounts within 24 hours after each project announcement.
The program also complements Launchpool and Megadrop, allowing BNB holders to potentially benefit from multiple distribution channels using the same holdings.

How to Earn With Binance HODLer Airdrops
To become eligible for future airdrops, users must subscribe their BNB to either Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields products. Binance takes hourly snapshots of user balances during the snapshot window for each airdrop.
For Sophon, the snapshot period was from May 14 to May 17, 2025. Users who had BNB subscribed during this time received SOPH tokens automatically, with no manual claim required.
Binance also applies a hard cap on each user’s reward share. If a user’s average BNB holdings exceed 4 percent of the total average pool, their contribution is capped at 4 percent for calculation purposes.
What Is Sophon
Sophon (SOPH) is a consumer-focused blockchain built on the ZK Stack, using Validium to deliver high throughput, low fees, and Ethereum-level security. It is part of the Elastic Chain vision supported by ZKsync, aiming to improve the user experience for on-chain applications.
