Ledger Launches Solana-Themed Flex Wallet Version with $SBT Token
- Ledger Flex Wallet Gets Exclusive Edition for Solana
- New Solana Flex Ledger Includes Soulbound Token (SBT)
- Solana users receive SOL rewards and discounts
Ledger has introduced a new special edition of its Flex hardware wallet, now aimed at the Solana community. Dubbed the Ledger Flex Solana Edition, the new product maintains the same features as the model launched in July 2024, but with a customized visual identity and exclusive benefits for users of the Solana ecosystem.
The device remains a cold wallet, that is, it is not connected to the internet, which ensures greater security in the self-custody of cryptocurrencies. The version has an E Ink touch screen, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, in addition to the proprietary operating system, Ledger OS.

According to Ian Rogers, the company’s chief experience officer, the new edition is all about valuing the community. “This is one of those events where the focus is really on the community. It’s a way for you to say, ‘Hey, I’m a member of the Ledger Solana community,’” he said.
The limited edition features an exclusive blue and green color scheme and offers buyers a Soulbound Token (SBT). This type of token is non-transferable and is intended to represent social bonds and digital belonging. “The Solana Soulbound Token shows that you are a Solana Flex holder — and it also means that you are an early adopter,” Rogers added.
The new Ledger Flex will be distributed in four phases. The first phase, aimed at holders of SBTs such as Solana Saga, Seeker Genesis and Superteam Members, includes a $70 discount and a black magnetic cover. In subsequent phases, purchasers will receive a magnetic folio and SOL vouchers ranging from $50 to $20, depending on eligibility.
After these initial phases, the wallet will be made available to the general public on the Ledger website, maintaining the SBT token offering as part of the package.
This launch follows other efforts by the Solana ecosystem to increase community loyalty. The Solana Seeker line of phones, for example, will include Genesis NFTs that are also permanently linked to the user’s wallet, in line with SBT’s proposal to demonstrate belonging and engagement with the network.
Historically, holders of these Solana-linked tokens have already been rewarded with relevant airdrops, such as the BONK memecoin, distributed in 2022, which generated significant returns for the first users of the Solana Saga mobile phone.
