Standard Chartered Simplifies Crypto Market Access for Institutional Investors
Standard Chartered entered a strategic partnership with crypto prime broker FalconX to provide institutional clients with safer and more scalable access to digital assets.

Zodia Markets, a subsidiary of global banking giant Standard Chartered, formed a strategic alliance with institutional crypto platform FalconX. The partnership aims to grant institutional investors access to a highly liquid and regulated infrastructure for trading crypto-assets. This collaboration combines FalconX’s technological expertise with the licensed, regulation-compliant platform of Zodia Markets.
Zodia Markets offers a full range of digital asset trading services, from OTC transactions to cryptocurrency exchange, fully complying with AML and KYC requirements. The company is registered with the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and licensed by the Central Bank of Ireland.
Thanks to the partnership with FalconX, Zodia Markets’ clients will benefit from counterparty risk protection and institutional-level liquidity access. Under this initiative, FalconX will act as the broker, while Zodia Markets will serve as the market maker, ensuring transparent trading conditions and compliance with U.K. and EU regulatory standards.
Luke Boland, Head of Standard Chartered’s FinTech Division in South Asia, emphasized that the initiative addresses growing institutional demand for reliable and regulated digital asset infrastructure. “Our collaboration with FalconX underscores our commitment to advancing the digital asset ecosystem,” Boland said.
Standard Chartered is actively developing various initiatives in the crypto ecosystem. In 2024, the company completed testing of settlements for tokenized assets via Mastercard’s platform, and in 2025, it launched crypto custodian services in Europe and obtained a license from Dubai’s financial regulator to provide crypto custody services in the region.
