Vitalik and StarkWare-backed Kakarot launch new Ethereum ZK solution based on STARK
April 29th news, according to The Block, Vitalik and StarkWare-supported Kakarot announced the development of an independent Ethereum zero-knowledge proof (ZK) stack, planning to achieve real-time Layer 1 block proof by the end of 2025. Kakarot is built on the Cairo language, using the STARK system, avoiding dependence on existing mainstream ZK technology stacks, aiming to enhance the diversity and system resilience of Ethereum ZK verification, and help achieve the goal of full ZKization of Ethereum by 2028.
