Foreign Media: Tariffs May Lead to a Comprehensive Price Increase of Daily Necessities in the United States
Regarding the latest tariff policy announced by the United States, reports from the British Broadcasting Corporation, Associated Press and others suggest that the new US tariff policy will push up prices of almost all daily necessities for American citizens, especially clothing and food, harming the interests of American consumers and businesses. A previous analysis by Yale University's Budget Laboratory suggests that US tariff policies could lead to a 2.3% increase in overall inflation in America this year, equivalent to causing a loss of $3800 for each average American family.
