President Trump signed an executive order to establish a special White House 2026 World Cup task force.
In June 2018, at the 68th FIFA Congress, after a vote by the 203 FIFA member associations eligible to vote, the United States, Mexico, and Canada ultimately defeated Morocco with a vote of 134 to 65, winning the joint hosting rights for the 2026 World Cup.
