Tether CEO: Quantum Computing Will Make Lost Bitcoins "Circulate Again"
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino predicts that quantum computing will eventually crack inactive Bitcoin wallets, allowing the Bitcoins in these wallets to circulate again. But he says there's a long way to go. "Any Bitcoins in lost wallets, including those of Satoshi (if deceased), will be hacked and recirculated." Quantum computing is still far from posing any meaningful risk to cracking Bitcoin encryption.
