Florida Senator Introduces Bitcoin Investment Bill
Odaily News - Florida Republican Senator Joe Gruters filed a bill on Friday proposing to allow the state to invest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Gruters' bill outlines that Florida's chief financial officer's investment in Bitcoin "shall not exceed 10% of the total funds in any account." Last October, Florida's chief financial officer Jimmy Patronis said the state held about $800 million in "cryptocurrency-related" investments. He also said that if Trump becomes president, the amount of state funds invested in cryptocurrencies may increase. (THE BLOCK)
