Horizen: ZEN’s Token Economics Updated
On January 20, according to Horizen's official tweet, with the passage of ZenIP 42407, $ZEN's updated token economics include revised $ZEN issuance and block reward distribution, of which a larger proportion of issuance will be used for the Horizen Foundation and DAO Treasury. Future changes in block rewards from PoW miners to additional PoS security allocations include the following:
1. 10% super node and 10% EON forger rewards become 40% collector rewards
2. 20% DAO Treasury and Horizen Foundation become 32.5% Horizen Foundation and 27.5% DAO Treasury
At the same time, Horizen said that the Foundation and DAO Treasury allocations are shifting from each block reward to distribution through an unlocking plan.
