All three major U.S. stock indexes closed up more than 1 per cent, and Nvidia regained its position as the world's most valuable company by market capitalisation

The three major U.S. stock indexes closed collectively higher, with the Nasdaq up 1.43 per cent, the S&P 500 up 1.23 per cent and the Dow up 1.02 per cent. NVIDIA rose more than 2%, the total market value of $3.43 trillion, surpassing Apple, re-emerged as the world's highest market value company.
