Powell: no rush to act, can speed up or slow down the pace of rate cuts depending on circumstances
On 19 September, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said in a speech that there is no indication in the Fed's (economic) forecasts that we (need to) rush into action. If appropriate, the Fed can speed up or slow down the pace of interest rate cuts, or even choose to pause interest rate cuts.
