Polygon announces MATIC migration to POL officially launched, improving ecosystem efficiency

POL is a new generation of tokens that can support the huge ecosystem of ZK-based L2 chains. It achieves this function through a native re-staking protocol, which allows POL holders to verify multiple chains and perform multiple roles on each chain, turning POL into a highly efficient token.
On September 5th, Polygon officially announced that the upgrade from MATIC to POL has been officially launched. This change took a year and was discussed and agreed upon by the community. Starting today, all transactions in the Polygon PoS network will use POL tokens as local gas and staking tokens. This migration aims to improve the overall efficiency of the network, make POL an efficient productive token, and further enhance the functionality and liquidity of the Polygon ecosystem.
