Samsung Taps Illuvium To Bring Games To Its Web3-Enabled TVs
In an August 09 blog post , Illuvium confirmed partnering with Samsung Electronics to allow crypto gamers and TV fans to play Illuvium’s blockchain-based games directly from their Samsung’s web3-enabled TVs. Samsung and Illuvium partnership aims to revolutionize home entertainment by bringing the Illuvium gaming world directly to living rooms through Samsung’s innovative Web3 TVs.
Established in 2012, Illuvium is a blockchain game developer and publisher of AAA play-to-earncrypto games. Illuvium is renowned for its multiple games, including Illuvium Overworld, Illuvium Arena, and Illuvium Zero, which operate via the Ethereum blockchain network. Illuvium’s games feature collectible NFT assets with in-game functionality that are playable across multiple games planned for the Illuvium metaverse.
On the other hand, Samsung is an electronics company that manufactures and sells electronics and computer peripherals. Samsung is also renowned for selling televisions, household appliances and perhaps most notably, mobile devices, including Android smartphones and smart devices. Samsung is the world’s largest manufacturer of smartphones since 2011.

Next week, Illuvium and Samsung anticipate leveraging their latest partnership and exhibiting the future of web3 gaming at Gamescom 2024. During the event, Samsung’s users will have a chance to sneak peek into the Illuvium universe, explore regions in Overworld, participate in battles in Arena, and manage cities in Zero. This exhibition will showcase how Samsung’s Web3 TVs allow users to use decentralized applications and services directly on their TV screens.
The highly anticipated gaming event is scheduled for August 21, 2024, until August 25, 2024, in Cologne, Germany. During the event, attendees will also have opportunities to win prizes, including 10 Samsung GEN3RATOR NFTs. These unique NFTs unlock additional partner NFTs and special digital content from Illuvium. Users holding both GEN3RATOR and Samsung Gen3 Chip NFTs can exclusively access 2,000 digital artworks from partner projects.
