Paraguayan miners urge electricity commission to reconsider tariff hike, say could cost $1.5 billion
The National Electricity Administration (ANDE), the operator of the Paraguayan national power grid, announced at a press conference that it will continue to increase the electricity prices for legal cryptocurrency miners as planned. However, Paraguay's cryptocurrency mining companies urged the country's regulatory agency to reconsider the upcoming price hike, believing that it will harm the country's economy and could result in losses of up to $1.5 billion.
