CrowdStrike Outage Expected to be Resolved by Friday, Bettors Say
According to Polymarket bettors, there is a high likelihood that the global IT outage caused by CrowdStrike's security software update will be resolved by Friday night. The outage has affected banks, airlines, emergency services, and businesses worldwide, with the Federal Aviation Administration issuing ground-stop orders for most major airlines. Bettors are also skeptical that the outage was caused by a hack, with only a 9% chance given to that possibility. American Airlines is expected to resume operations by Friday noon, with an 81% chance predicted. CrowdStrike's stock has dropped over 10% in pre-market trading on the NASDAQ.
