The code writing for the Nakamoto upgrade of Bitcoin L2 network Stacks has been completed
The Stacks Foundation for the Bitcoin L2 network, Stacks, stated on platform X that Nakamoto's code writing has been completed ahead of schedule (July 15th) and is currently undergoing internal and external audits, testing, and bug fixes. It is reported that the Nakamoto upgrade will separate the block production schedule of Stacks from Bitcoin's and introduce a new way to produce Stacks blocks by updating its transfer proof consensus algorithm. The Stacks Nakamoto upgrade will achieve transaction speeds of around 5-10 seconds, approximately 100 times faster than current transaction speeds.
