ZynCoin Settles with Philip Morris
ZynCoin, a meme token named after a bag of nicotine, reached a settlement with Philip Morris, a Fortune 500 company that initially demanded that ZynCoin stop using the term "ZYN Coin" and its associated logos but was unable to sue or stop the token due to the decentralization of ZynCoin and the lack of a centralized entity. However, due to the decentralization of ZynCoin, there was no centralized entity to sue or stop the token. A compromise was reached whereby the "zyn" prefix was retained and minor changes were made to the marketing.
