US Media: Apple is Developing Artificial Intelligence Chips for Data Centers
The Wall Street Journal reports that Apple (AAPL.O) has been developing its own chips for running artificial intelligence software on data center servers, a move that could potentially provide the company with a key advantage in the competition in the field of artificial intelligence. According to insiders, the internal code name for the server chip project is ACDC (Apple Chips in Data Center). The ACDC project has been underway for several years, and it is currently uncertain when the new chip will be launched (if at all). Apple promises to launch several new AI products at its global developer conference in June.
