Celestia announces the launch of Blobstream on Base
Celestia has launched Blobstream on the Base mainnet, allowing developers to deploy Base L3 chains for access to Celestia's data availability. Blobstream is a one-way data verification bridge that can stream Celestia's DA layer to other chains. Developers can access efficient block space, the cost of which is unrelated to Gas fees on the base chain. This implementation allows L2 and L3 rollups to use Celestia light clients for data availability sampling. Blobstream uses Zero-Knowledge Proofs to verify the validity of Celestia block headers in order to confirm them on target EVM chains. Currently in experimental stage, Blobstream plans support for other chains.
