Worldcoin Token WLD Falls, Elon Musk Sues OpenAI
On Friday morning in Europe, the Worldcoin WLD token fell following reports that OpenAI Inc. was being sued. Reuters reported that WLD fell 2.2 per cent in an hour after tech investor Elon Musk sued OpenAI and its Sam Altman for breach of contract. Musk accused them of breaching a contractual agreement from 2015 when he helped build the company.Altman is a board member and co-founder of Worldcoin. The controversial project aims to scan everyone's eyes in exchange for digital IDs and tokens. AI tokens have tended to fluctuate over the past year when there have been broader developments in the AI industry. In February, AI tokens rose after chipmaker Nvidia beat fourth-quarter earnings estimates and OpenAI released a new text-to-video product.
