Speaking at the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) High Level Policy Roundtable, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said that cross-institutional cooperation is important to achieve CBDC benefits and payment system interoperability, and that the IMF's mission is to help ensure that digital currencies, including CBDC, contribute to domestic and international economic and financial stability.
