GOAT Network achieves Bitcoin’s first real-time proof as BitVM2 testnet Beta goes live
According to ChainCatcher, Bitcoin Layer 2 network GOAT Network has announced the official launch of the BitVM2 testnet Beta, achieving the first real-time proving system running in a production environment. This makes it the first Bitcoin zkRollup project to support instant withdrawal initiation and full-chain visualized proofs.
The system is built on a pipelined parallel architecture and a distributed GPU prover network, combined with ZKM’s zkVM “Ziren.” It enables three-stage parallel processing of block proofs (2.6s), aggregate proofs (2.7s), and Groth16 proofs (approximately 10.4s), supporting real-time proving capabilities with a 3.4-second block time, allowing users to initiate withdrawals without waiting.
GOAT Network stated that all peg-out operations are now data-driven, visualized, and verifiable on-chain, with real-time presentation through a public UI page. The current system is fully open source, does not rely on trust assumptions, and has established a complete closed loop from BTC deposit and on-chain interaction to withdrawal. The project team believes this capability will redefine the technical standards for Bitcoin zkRollups and lay the foundation for the practical usability of BTCFi.
