U.S. Rep: SEC Chairman Should Leave in 2025
In an interview with the Thinking Crypto podcast on October 25, U.S. Rep. French Hill (R-AR) said the SEC should have new leadership next year, regardless of which political party controls the White House.
Hill criticized SEC Chairman Gary Gensler's regulatory policies, calling them unconstitutional and an abuse of power, and suggested exemptions for emerging industries like cryptocurrencies.
Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse also predicted that Gensler will leave his post after the upcoming presidential election, regardless of the outcome.
