Moscow Exchange withdraws from Russian cryptocurrency trading pilot
ChainCatcher News, according to Bitcoin.comNews, Nikolai Trunichkin, the head of digital projects at Moscow Exchange (MOEX), Russia's largest securities market, recently confirmed that MOEX will not participate in Russia's cryptocurrency trading pilot program.
This decision comes as the Russian State Duma passed a bill in July allowing digital currency trading on exchanges under central bank supervision. In contrast to MOEX's stance, St. Petersburg Securities Exchange (SPB Exchange) stated it would actively participate in this pilot project.
