CoinGape: Indonesian Authorities Considering Blocking Telegram and BIGO LIVE
Indonesian authorities are considering banning chat software Telegram and live-streaming software BIGO LIVE for allegedly distributing pornography and promoting online gambling, crypto media outlet CoinGape said in an X post.
Indonesia's Communications and Information Minister Budi Arie Setiadi revealed that the ministry had issued strong warnings to the two platforms and that the responses from Telegram and BIGO LIVE were insufficient, stating, “I would like to ban them immediately, but the team will need to do further research first.
