Institutional investors are expected to increase their allocation to digital assets in their portfolios to 7% by 2027 (from 1-5% currently), and the market for cryptocurrency assets is expected to exceed $10 trillion by 2030, according to a report authored by The Economist. The report notes that digital asset allocations in institutional portfolios have been focused on cryptocurrency trading, with bitcoin and ethereum being the largest investment channels. But institutional investors are showing greater optimism about digital assets, thanks to a growing number of investment vehicles that are no longer limited to cryptocurrencies.
