Multiple well-known crypto venture capital firms saw a rebound in asset valuation in 2023, with Multicoin leading significantly with a 180% increase
Mars Financial News: The asset valuations of several cryptocurrency venture capital firms such as Paradigm, Polychain Capital, Multicoin Capital, Haun Ventures, and Blockchain Capital were higher in 2023 than the previous year. Among them, Multicoin saw the largest increase in its media-analyzed fund, with its investment portfolio soaring by 180%, from around $1.36 billion in 2022 to $3.81 billion in 2023, possibly influenced by the development of the Solana ecosystem. In addition, Polychain Capital founded by former Coinbase employee Olaf Carlson-Wee nearly doubled its fund value from $2.61 billion in the previous year to $5.04 billion in 2023. Blockchain Capital announced in September 2023 that it had raised an additional $580 million for more cryptocurrency investments and stated that the value of assets under management increased from nearly $1.74 billion to $2.36 billion. Other companies with smaller increases include Paradigm, whose fund value exceeds $10 billion; Haun Ventures, with assets valued at over $1.5 billion; and A16z which considers cryptocurrencies as one of its investments and had a value of $56 billion by the end of 2023.
